How do I request a tour?

Selecting the right daycare can be challenging, so we recommend scheduling a tour so you can see if this is the right fit for your kiddo. This guide will lead you through the easy process of arranging a tour using the Upwards app. With a few simple taps, you can set up a visit to meet the caregivers and explore the daycare. Let's get started!


1. From the Upwards App Home page, Select Childcare ⚲


2. Search for the name of the daycare or the ZIP code where you want to find a daycare

Use the filter option to streamline your search.


3. Tap the daycare summary below to visit the Provider's profile. 


Profile pictures with this tag are an official Upwards provider.


4. Tap the tour button to begin requesting the tour.

We recommend reviewing the following:

  • Ages - This will indicate if the provider has an available spot.
  • Profile - Review the provider's information to ensure it meets your needs.
  • Specific Questions? Please message the provider before requesting a tour.


5. Select the best day and time.

None of those days or times work? You can also request a different schedule by clicking the "Request a different Time" section.


6. You will receive a confirmation in your Upwards Inbox from the Upward Bot.

This will include the date, time, and complete address.


Can I schedule a virtual tour?

Virtual tours are a great way to get a feel for a daycare program and see if it fits you and your child. At Upwards, we make it easy to start a virtual tour right from the app. If you are unable to tour the daycare in person, we recommend messaging the provider before requesting a tour. 


1. Navigate to the Home Page on the Upwards App. 

Select the inbox at the bottom of the screen.

2. Select the Provider you are interested in touring. 

You'll notice a phone icon in the top right corner. Tap on this icon to initiate a video call with the provider.

3. Select "Video Call" to start the virtual tour. 

The provider will be able to show you around the daycare program and answer any questions you may have.
