What is the billing schedule? |
At Upwards, we strive to simplify the billing process for families. Here's a breakdown of how it works:
☞ After linking your payment method in the app, tuition fees will be automatically billed one week in advance on the Monday before each week of care. Our team can confirm your billing schedule to ensure you're prepared ahead of time.
What payment methods can I use? |
We accept debit/credit cards and ACH transfers through our payment platform. If you use a debit/credit card, your bank will charge a 3.5% processing fee. However, there is no fee for ACH transfers.
How do I add/change my payment method? |
If you need to update your payment method, you can do so at any time by following these steps:
1. Tap on the Menu on the bottom toolbar.
2. Tap "Payments".
3. Tap the institution icon in the top right corner.
4. Tap +Add option in the top right corner.
5. After adding or changing your payment method, we recommend selecting "Set Default".
How does tuition work on holidays, vacations, or absences? |
At Upwards, we understand that scheduling and attendance can be complicated issues for families. That's why we've developed clear policies around tuition and attendance to ensure that parents and providers are on the same page.
Daycare providers will be closed for certain holidays and vacation days during the school year. You will receive at least 30 days' notice before these closures, and you will need to make arrangements for substitute care for your child during these times. Don't forget to ask your provider for a list of scheduled closed holidays and vacation days.
It's important to note that tuition is due and payable for these days, even if your child is not attending daycare. This helps ensure your child's spot is reserved and available when needed.
Similarly, tuition is still due when your child is absent from care. This helps ensure that the provider can keep your spot and maintain the proper ratio of children to caregivers.
We know every family's situation is unique, and we're committed to finding solutions that fit your needs. If you have any questions about tuition or attendance, contact your Childcare Navigator or the Upwards Support Team.
We hope this information gives you confidence in choosing Upwards for your childcare needs. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket or emailing us at support@upwards.com! |
