Can I browse the provider options in my area?

Yes! If you'd like to first start by browsing providers on your own, our Provider Map is the best place to start. This is where you can view provider profiles, message them with questions, and save providers for later. 


1. Open the Upwards App or go to https://upwards.com/childcare-near-me
Launch the Upwards app and tap on ‘Childcare’ in the bottom navigation bar. 


2. Search for Providers
Enter your location or the specific Upwards location you’re interested in. 

  • Providers with a teal icon have already been vetted and passed our safety standards.
  • Providers with a light gray icon require a safety check. Please note that we can always complete a license check or background check.


3. Start a Conversation or Favorite a Provider
You have a couple of options to connect with Providers: 

  • Tap the Heart Icon in the top-right corner to save a provider.
  • Tap the "Tour" button to schedule a tour.
  • Tap the “Message” button on the provider’s profile to start a direct conversation.

We encourage you to share any feedback with your dedicated Care Navigator. They can assist you in connecting with these providers directly!


What if there are no Upwards providers in my area?

If you're looking for providers near you and do not currently see any, please reach out to your Care Navigator. Some providers choose not to be publicly listed on our platform to help streamline the number of parents that are contacting them. Your Care Navigator will be able to confirm if there are any additional providers in your area that you may not be able to see. 


If there are no providers, or all providers in your area have waitlists, don't worry! Upwards is growing every day, and your Care Navigator can help search for more providers that may not currently be part of Upwards!
