What is on my Upwards profile?
Families need to get a feel for what you can offer. At Upwards, we help build your online profile, which includes:
• Program Overview
• Teachers
• Family reviews
• Tuition
• Location
Let's provide more details on each section:
1. The Program Overview Section provides a quick snapshot of you and your location. This includes:
a. Ages - You can see current availability for Infants (0 - 2 years), Toddlers (2 - 5 years), and Preschoolers (5 + years).
b. Operation days and hours - You can search for extended weekday and weekend support.
c. Accept subsidy - Everyone should have access to affordable childcare. Prioritize your budget and identify caregivers who accept government subsidies.
d. Provider type - You can find in-home daycares, daycare centers, nannies, and babysitters.
e. Daycare license - Want to do more research? You can review their most recent inspection and complaints.
f. Curriculum - We partner with providers who are experts in Bank Street, HighScope, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or Faith-based learning.
g. Meals provided - You can find providers who offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks!
2. The Teachers Section provides a brief biography about you, detailing your years of experience and any special certifications. If you have an assistant or co-owner, we recommend including their information as well.
3. The Reviews Section is where your families can share their experiences with your daycare. This is a great way to establish trust and credibility. To begin, you can send a link to your current enrolled families, friends, or relatives. Please keep in mind that only 3 initial reviews are allowed. Subsequent reviews will be automatically collected once a family enrolls in your daycare through Upwards.
4. The Tuition Section clarifies the cost of your services. Most families look at the tuition rates before reaching out to a daycare because they want to ensure they can afford you! This section lists all your Upwards rates. We recommend listing your full-time rates and always sharing your Upwards rates with interested families.
5. The Location Section provides a short description of your environment and local neighborhood. This helps families envision your space and local community. Please note that your address will not be publicly shared for the safety of your family, your enrolled children, and yourself.
